Baby Shower Party Favours

Coming up with baby shower favours took me longer than anticipated. My initial idea was scrapped because the stores I went to nolonger carried the material I wanted. So making cake pops was a last minute night before decision. This is the first time for me to make these little treats, so hopefully they tasted okay! The decorating part scared me. I wanted to keep within the little chicks theme, but wasn't quite sure if I was able to pull it off. To me, they turned out looking like a cross between a chick and a bald man with a hooked nose!!!

The pops were dipped in yellow candy melt. Then, orange candy melt was used to draw wings and feet and form the beaks. Afterward, a black food marker was used to dot eyes.

Finally, each cake pop was wrapped in cellophane and tied with a piece of curling ribbon with a tag attached.

The same night I baked cupcakes and a cake and decorated them the next morning before the shower. Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures of the desserts, so I won't be able to share them until the mom-to-be sends me photos. In the meantime, I've got some thank you cards to make!
