It may be raining all this week but we had such gorgeous weather over the weekend. It was literally put on your sunglasses and play in the park kind of weather. Well, I did that. I also ended up checking out the belly dance bazaar, and I'm glad I did. Not only did I meet some wonderful people, I saw some beautiful dance performances from ladies who embraced their womanly shape.
This group of dancers came in different shapes, different sizes, different ages...and different facial expressions and attitude! Some looked like they were mad or didn't want to be there performing, while others looked like they were have the time of their lives. Yes, SMILING does make a huge difference no matter how perfect your hip bumps are!
The same group came back on stage doing undulations in "normal" clothes and playfully did shoulder shimmies with scarves. So cool!
The Gypsy Mamas were mesmerizing. They made belly dancing look easy, moving with such control and grace.
I thoroughly enjoyed the sunshine, the people, the entertainment, the glitz, the sparkles and the jingles.
But the best part of the day was these to-die-for shoes I came home with! Purple and silver sequenced high heels with skulls on them? ...Woohoo...WHAT A SCORE!
